Schneider Electric, a global frontrunner in energy management and automation, has inaugurated its first Innovation Hub on the African continent.

This milestone signals the company’s growing investment in Africa and underscores its mission to drive sustainable and digital transformation across the region.

Situated within Schneider Electric’s newly launched English-speaking headquarters in Midrand, Johannesburg, the Innovation Hub now joins the company’s expansive global network of over 40 Innovation Hubs.

It serves as an interactive showcase for Schneider Electric’s cutting-edge technologies and sustainability initiatives tailored for African stakeholders.

The Midrand Innovation Hub provides an immersive experience where clients, partners, and stakeholders can explore advanced solutions across multiple industries, including energy, buildings, industrial automation, data centres, and power grids.

“We’re nurturing a space built on collaboration, relevance, and innovation that reflects Africa’s unique challenges and opportunities,” said Canninah Dladla, Cluster President for Anglophone Africa.

“Our goal is to empower our ecosystem—drawing on local talent and partnerships—to accelerate progress through digital transformation.”

This newly launched Innovation Hub not only reflects Schneider Electric’s commitment to the African market but also reinforces its broader strategy of combining sustainability with digital technology to create resilient, future-ready systems.

By establishing this interactive facility in Johannesburg, Schneider Electric aims to bring its global expertise closer to African businesses, empowering them to tap into the potential of smart technologies and sustainable practices.
