South Africa-based Payment24, a global provider of payment and loyalty solutions, has acquired Switzerland-headquartered Inergy 24 to accelerate its expansion into the European market.
 

This strategic move will enable Payment24 to broaden its reach and provide its comprehensive suite of payment solutions to a wider customer base across Europe.

Payment24, initially established as a digital fuel management and telematics platform, has evolved into a global platform developer specializing in payment and loyalty solutions catering to the financial, oil, retail, convenience, transport, and logistics industries.

With a presence spanning five continents and 18 countries, Payment24 is poised to make a significant impact on the European payments landscape.

The acquisition of Inergy 24 will further strengthen Payment24’s European presence, allowing the combined entities to offer customers throughout Europe access to a comprehensive range of payment solutions, including fleet management, mobile and retail, loyalty, electric vehicle (EV), and cloud payments.

“As a relatively new player in the European digital and fuel payments ecosystem, our platform provides customers bound to unwieldy legacy payment solutions with an entirely reimagined digital solution that is quick and easy to deploy,” remarked Shadab Rahil, joint-CEO at Payment24.

Payment24’s investment in Inergy 24 underscores its commitment to better serving and delivering solutions to clients across Europe.

Over the past three years, the Payment24 platform has transformed from a fleet management and petroleum payments solution to an all-encompassing payments and transacting solution.

Payment24 recently launched Cloud Switch, a cloud-based payment solution that significantly reduces time to market for businesses seeking to upgrade their transaction switching systems.

Ed Partners Africa Secures $10 Million in Funding from DFC to Expand Access to Affordable Education in Kenya

Ed Partners Africa, a Kenyan non-banking financial institution that specializes in providing loans to affordable private schools, has announced a $10 million loan guarantee facility from the United States’ Development Finance Corporation (DFC).
 
 

This funding will enable Ed Partners Africa to expand its reach and provide much-needed financial support to schools that are striving to offer quality education at affordable prices.

Founded in 2018, Ed Partners Africa has already made a significant impact on the Kenyan education landscape, reaching over 100,000 students across 350 schools.

The company provides infrastructural loans to schools to support the construction of new classrooms, washrooms, laboratories, and dormitories, as well as the acquisition of computers, buses, vans, and internet connectivity.

The loan guarantee from DFC will be instrumental in helping Ed Partners Africa expand its reach and provide essential financial support to even more schools.

This funding will enable the company to continue its mission of making quality education accessible to underserved populations in Kenya.

“This is an important transaction that will provide vital financing to support increased access to affordable, quality education, especially among underserved populations in Kenya,” said James Polan, Vice President of DFC’s Office of Development Credit.

“The investment reflects DFC’s commitment to improving access to education in Kenya and supporting sustainable development in the region.”

Ed Partners Africa’s CFO, Janet Waweru, expressed her gratitude for DFC’s support. “We are thrilled to partner with DFC in our efforts to expand educational opportunities in Kenya and East Africa.”

This partnership between Ed Partners Africa and DFC is a significant step towards ensuring that all Kenyan children have access to quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

and Web Design, certificate in Fine Art and Design at the Hilton’s College of Creative Art Accra Ghana

Never for once did he relent in his profession as an artist even though friends try’s told him to drop the idea of him being an artist, but his passion and desire for painting and illustrating pictures continues to grow stronger, as he research about other renowned artist both local and international especially his art tutor and mentor Mr. Amadu
Tarawally who helped him through the basics of art such as imaginative composition, sketching and painting. As he got inspired by drawing and painting pictures through animation movies.

One of his most favorite internal artist Caravaggio who was a leading Italian painter of the late 16th and early 17th centuries because of his realism painting technic. During his early years he got the love, inspiration and technical guidance he needed to developed his talents with Peacelinks Sierra Leone Art Training program for children and young people. He has participated in and won several poster competitions, including UNFPA and the Tony Blair Faith Foundations (Where is the Net Campaign)

He has illustrated several books for both local and international authors and writers, Pen Sierra Leone and CODE

I was born at Lungi, Tintafore Port Loko District, but have spent my entire life in Freetown. Attended a village primary school at Murray Town and later attended the W.A.M collegiate school until I sat my g.c.e’o’level with my best grade in art and crafts.
Gifted with the talent of drawing from comics since I was in primary
school and continue to draw until it became a passion and started to
pursue art.
later, I was privileged to work with one of Sierra Leone’s prominent
artist and educator Louise Metzger commonly known as ‘Gaga’ who was the proprietress of Gaga Gallery.(a gallery showcasing Sierra Leone’s local art) in the course of working i studied printing as well at SOS Vocational Training Centre and graduated as an offset lithographer in camera work
and copy preparation (pre-press).
I then pursued other courses in a+ and networking (n+). presently, i am
more involved in graphic arts and designs (self-taught and via YouTube)
I am currently working at nabs tech (a printing firm) and as a
demonstrator at the Faculty of Communication Media and Information
studies, Fourah Bay College, university of sierra leone teaching print
layout and graphics.
art is my passion and I will continue to pursue that
