Harry Tomi Davies

Tomi is a Nigerian British investor, speaker, author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and advisor to technology companies.

Upon his graduation from the University of Miami, Tomi had an illustrious career in the corporate world, leading the implementation of innovative technology-led transformation initiatives in the oil and gas, information technology and telecommunications industries.

In 2002, TD, as Tomi is fondly known, shifted his focus to Africa, where he has been actively involved in driving up early-stage investment and entrepreneurship in innovation and technology on the continent.

Tomi continues to play a distinguished role in Africa’s start-up ecosystem, having previously served as president of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), which educates angel investment groups, promotes the creation of new networks and supports members in building African early-stage investing ecosystems.

He is currently serving several organizations in different capacities, including TextNigeria (Telecoms), MBO Capital, Laptops4Learning (L4L) Nigeria, and the Global Business Angels Network (GBAN).

TD believes that Africa’s future is being built today in African cities by entrepreneurs with business ventures using innovation and technology to create social and economic value.
