K. Monica Musonda

Monica is a lawyer turned entrepreneur with a vision to provide affordable nutrition to the southern African market.

After quitting as a corporate solicitor, Monica founded JAVA Foodservice Limited, a Zambian-based food-processing company revolutionizing the eating habits of the youth market by offering affordable and nutritious food options made from local products.

Through her leadership and vision, Java Foods has grown into a leading independent instant noodle manufacturer in the Southern African region.
The company’s eeZee Noodles has fast become a leading brand in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Malawi.

Monica’s vision is to transform the venture into one of the leading packaged food manufacturers in the region by 2025.
She is one of the few Zambian women involved in agro processing at a scalable level. Her business acumen has earned her several accolades, including the African Agribusiness Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2017).
