Fatimatou Ousmanou Samba is Helping the African Diaspora Send Money Home Easily

Fatimatou Ousmanou Samba is a Franco-Cameroonian entrepreneur working at the intersection of fintech, diaspora engagement, and cultural promotion.

She is the Co-Founder and General Manager of Taptap Send Cameroon, a fast-growing platform that helps people in the diaspora send money home quickly and at low cost.

Born and raised in France to Cameroonian parents, Fatimatou studied political science and international project management, with a focus on sustainable development.

Her early career included roles at Orange, UNESCO, and Bond’Innov, where she supported social innovation and development projects.

In 2020, she joined Taptap Send and led its expansion in Central Africa.

Thanks to her efforts, people in countries like Cameroon, the DRC, and Mali can now receive remittances directly into their mobile money accounts.

Under her leadership, Taptap Send Cameroon has become a trusted solution for the African diaspora looking to support their families back home.

But Fatimatou’s work doesn’t stop at fintech. She is also the founder of Mboa Paris, an event that celebrates Cameroonian culture and business in France.

The event connects artists, entrepreneurs, and professionals from across the diaspora.

Through SEMBE Agency, she also helps African businesses grow by offering marketing and business development support.

Fatimatou believes in building with what you have. She often speaks about starting small, focusing on people before platforms, and using business to create real, local impact.
