The investment, whose exact size remains undisclosed, was co-led by the networks Bridging Angels and the African Diaspora Network.
Founded in 2021 by engineers Achraf Aouadi and Rym Bourguib and operating from Tunis, WildyNess specialises in a sustainable tourism marketplace that serves both B2C and B2B2C channels.
It connects conscientious travellers with authentic experiences co-designed and delivered by local micro-businesses, thereby enabling cultural immersion while generating direct economic impact for host communities.
Since launching officially in 2022, WildyNess reports that it has achieved more than USD 300,000 in organic sales without any paid marketing spend—evidence, according to the founders, that there is strong demand for meaningful travel beyond mass-market offerings.
With fresh capital in hand, WildyNess plans to scale its offering across the Middle East and North Africa region.
Key expansion markets include Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
Alongside this geographic growth, the startup will invest in its technology platform to support the operational and user-experience demands of scaling.
“The future of travel is not in volume, but in authenticity and impact,” commented co-founder Aouadi, noting that the startup’s fully organic early traction underscores the appetite for deeper connections rather than generic attractions.
Investors from Bridging Angels highlighted that their backing goes beyond capital, offering strategic access to international markets and networks—a crucial component for a regional travel-tech company expanding cross-border.
WildyNess’s raise is seen as a pioneering moment for the regional ecosystem: many investor-backed startups in North Africa have been in fintech or mobility, and fewer have focused on travel-tech, particularly with a sustainable and community-based tourism lens.
