Lycius During born 20th May 1988 in Freetown Sierra Leone and attended the J.T. Reffell French Friendship Memorial School, and pursued his secondary education at the Albert Academy Secondary School.
He later enrolled into I.P.M.C College of Technology in Accra Ghana were he holds an Advance Diploma in Graphic
and Web Design, certificate in Fine Art and Design at the Hilton’s College of Creative Art Accra Ghana
Never for once did he relent in his profession as an artist even though friends try’s told him to drop the idea of him being an artist, but his passion and desire for painting and illustrating pictures continues to grow stronger, as he research about other renowned artist both local and international especially his art tutor and mentor Mr. Amadu
Tarawally who helped him through the basics of art such as imaginative composition, sketching and painting. As he got inspired by drawing and painting pictures through animation movies.
One of his most favorite internal artist Caravaggio who was a leading Italian painter of the late 16th and early 17th centuries because of his realism painting technic. During his early years he got the love, inspiration and technical guidance he needed to developed his talents with Peacelinks Sierra Leone Art Training program for children and young people. He has participated in and won several poster competitions, including UNFPA and the Tony Blair Faith Foundations (Where is the Net Campaign)
He has illustrated several books for both local and international authors and writers, Pen Sierra Leone and CODE
