Enterprise-AI startup Velents.ai has raised US $1.5 million in a new funding round as it launches Agent.sa, which it describes as the first fully integrated Arabic-speaking AI employee tailored for organisations across the Middle East.
The round attracted a cadre of high-profile angel investors, including senior executives from firms such as Google and Boston Consulting Group, among others.
Velents.ai says it is already planning its next raise, targeting a closing in early 2026.
Founded by Egyptian-Saudian entrepreneurs Mohamed Gaber (CEO) and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib (COO), Velents.ai is backed by a cross-border team based in Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Initially the company focused on recruitment solutions. In 2023, it pivoted and relaunched with a broader mission: leveraging AI-driven digital tools to help organisations in the region attract and retain top talent.
Since that shift, the startup has won engagements with private enterprises, universities and government ministries in both Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
The newly introduced Agent.sa is positioned as a full-scale digital employee able to work in Arabic—including dialects—without requiring translation layers or complex user interfaces.
The platform handles phone calls, WhatsApp chats, task execution and data analysis, all operable in natural Arabic.
According to Velents.ai, the agent can serve alongside human teams much like a conventional staff member.
“ We’re not just building a tool,” Mohamed Gaber said. “We’re delivering a real digital employee who works alongside human teams. Our goal is to empower Arab companies with an intelligent worker who understands their language and their dialect and enhances their daily productivity.”
Almuhaydib added: “We’re not selling off-the-shelf software. We’re embedding a smart employee into every company, one that learns, adapts, and delivers value in real time.”
Velents.ai sees Agent.sa as a game-changer for a range of industries—from banking and telecoms to logistics and healthcare—capable of operating around the clock and handling thousands of customer interactions simultaneously.
The underlying model is described as a proprietary Arabic-language AI platform, trained on millions of texts and conversations across various dialects and compliant with local data-protection laws.
