South African financial technology (fintech) company Float has secured a $11 million funding facility from Standard Bank.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has announced a collaboration with Ghana-based manufacturer Mohinani Group to enhance plastic waste recycling in Ghana and Nigeria.
“We are delighted to partner with ISA to support the development of solar energy in Africa,” said Alain Ebobissé, CEO of Africa50. “This partnership will help to accelerate the deployment of solar energy in Africa and improve the lives of millions of Africans,” he added.

COREangels MEA, in collaboration with PTS Investments Holdings and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST), has introduced a $10 million investment fund aimed at supporting early-stage technology startups across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

The Norwegian development finance institution Norfund has committed €20 million into Société Ivoirienne de Productions Animales (SIPRA), one of West Africa’s biggest domestically owned poultry enterprises.
