Yanmo Omorogbe is Redefining Access to Investment in Africa

Yanmo Omorogbe is a Nigerian entrepreneur and finance professional.

She is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Bamboo, a technology-driven investment platform that is opening up access to global and local financial markets for Africans.

Through Bamboo, Yanmo is helping thousands of people across Africa invest in U.S. and Nigerian stocks easily, directly from their smartphones or computers.

The platform is changing how Africans approach investing by removing traditional barriers and making the process simple, transparent, and accessible to everyone.

Yanmo’s mission is clear — to empower Africans to build wealth through smart investing, and to ensure that people across the continent have the tools they need to take part in the global economy.

She believes that financial freedom should not be limited by geography, and that access to global markets is key to Africa’s long-term economic growth and development.

Before starting Bamboo, Yanmo worked as an Investment Associate at African Infrastructure Investment Managers (AIIM), a leading private equity firm focused on infrastructure in Africa.

She also served as a Special Assistant to the Nigerian Minister of Power, Works, and Housing, where she was involved in policy implementation and major infrastructure development projects.

These experiences shaped her understanding of finance, public policy, and economic development.

Yanmo is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a qualification that reflects her deep expertise in finance and investment management.

Her strong background in both the private and public sectors has positioned her as a leader in Africa’s fast-growing fintech ecosystem.

Under her leadership, Bamboo has become one of Africa’s most promising investment platforms, attracting thousands of users and gaining international recognition.

The company is part of a growing wave of African startups that are driving financial inclusion and digital innovation.

Her impact across Africa is significant, as she is helping ordinary Africans access global investment opportunities that were previously out of reach.

She is also actively promoting financial literacy and wealth-building tools, ensuring more people have the knowledge and confidence to make informed financial decisions.

Through her work, she is supporting Africa’s digital and economic transformation by using technology to bridge financial gaps.

Beyond her business achievements, Yanmo serves as a role model for young African women in business and finance.

Her leadership and success continue to inspire a new generation of changemakers who believe in Africa’s potential and want to be part of shaping a brighter future.
