The Empower Africa Business Platform is Now Live !!!
A total of 30 startups have been shortlisted as finalists for the Latitude59 Kenya Pitch Competition, emerging from a field of 222 applications submitted from 27 different countries.
The competition is part of the broader Latitude59 programme, the flagship startup and technology forum of Estonia, the world’s first digital nation.
In its 13th edition held in Tallinn this May, the event brought together more than 3,500 participants, including over 900 startups, nearly 700 investors and 170 speakers from more than 70 countries.
For the third consecutive year, an Africa-specific pitch challenge has been integrated into the Latitude59 agenda.
This year’s cohort of 30 ventures will now receive further pitch training ahead of the next selection stage. From them, a top 10 will be chosen to present their ideas live during the finals scheduled to take place in Nairobi from December 3–5.
Liisi Org, CEO of Latitude59, commented on the calibre of entries:
“The quality of this year’s applicants was incredible — it’s clear that African founders are building for scale, not just survival. They’re solving meaningful problems with a bold, global mindset. We cannot wait to see them light up the stage in Nairobi.”
