Amini, a Kenyan climate-tech startup dedicated to bridging the environmental data gap in Africa, has secured $4 million in a seed funding round led by Salesforce Ventures and the Female Founders Fund.
“We are delighted to partner with ISA to support the development of solar energy in Africa,” said Alain Ebobissé, CEO of Africa50. “This partnership will help to accelerate the deployment of solar energy in Africa and improve the lives of millions of Africans,” he added.
Janngo Capital, an African venture capital firm, has successfully closed its second fund at $78 million, exceeding its initial goal of $63 million by 20%.
Swedfund, a Swedish development finance institution (DFI), has partnered with African credit fund BluePeak Private Capital Fund to invest $5 million in Bridge Bank Microfinance (BBM), a subsidiary of West Africa-based Teyliom Finance.
Renda, a Nigerian logistics startup tackling order fulfilment challenges, has secured $1.9 million in pre-seed funding.
